3 Interior Design Trends Expected to Grow in 2022

As people are at the gym pushing themselves to keep their New Year's resolutions, we've been compiling a short list of the 3 design trends that we think we'll see more of in 2022. With more and more people working from home, interior design has become a much larger priority so we think we'll continue to see more of these in an effort to create sophisticated, warm and more comfortable home.

Textured Surfaces

An easy way to add this to any space is with throw pillows and/or a throw blanket. If you want to take it a step further or in another direction, bamboo or velvet window coverings are great looking options and of course you can always lean towards a textured rug. These always create depth and sophistication in any room.

Matte Metals

Mainly found in kitchens and bathrooms when it comes to cabinet hardware or plumbing fixtures, matte black and matte brass or gold are taking over by storm. Many other home décor items are starting to follow suit so you can outfit an entire space evenly with the same matte metal. Light fixtures paired with matching wall clocks or artwork frames compliment the hardware in any kitchen and bath so you can extend the matte metal look outside those spaces.

Vintage Items

Vintage can be a very broad term at times but in this sense, it's anything that has a lived in or worn in look but staying clean at the same time. An example of this would be the popular industrial farmhouse look. Rustic wood and other textured surfaces paired with clean lines of cabinets or other furniture. Go clean and classic on the larger items like cabinets, couches and bed spreads. Once you have that pallet, layer in vintage items such as vases, pottery, wall art, storage items, etc. The final design will create the warmth and sophistication you desire.
